Originally introduced at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon, the RN-05M is the first WedsSport wheel in the world to incorporate a double Advance Metal Forming (AFM) technique on the lip and barrel (AKA Dual Flow Forming). Weds engineered “H” barrel shape allows for a high degree of rigidity to prevent the barrel from having any kind of flex during high load situations. The H section shape cannot be achieved with molding, it is achieved through a meticulous machining process that Weds Developed. The purpose of this design was to find ways to reduce wheel weight whilst increasing the strength and rigidity. To achieve this technical marvel requires a balanced use of materials, precise calculations, and professional engineering. 

Strategically placed cutouts on the barrel behind the spokes called Air-Plus+ (Patented by Weds) allow for increased air volume inside the tire for more stable air pressure. Furthermore, weight has been reduced in several locations through the use of ball-mill cutting and rounding off of cavities. The WedsSport logo has been CNC etched into one of the spokes for added styling. All WedsSport wheels are designed to exceed JWL/VIA standards by 20 percent and are professionally made in Japan.
